Participating on Assembly Programs and meetings... the hypocritical things that go on
by confusedandalone ini was thinking the other day about how i use to marvel at the idea of being on a ca or do program!
when i was starting to get myself together so to speak i wanted to be one of those guys always giving the powerful talk to shut the assembly down.

How they told u to look at the speaker only when you were up there standing on the x and not at the crowd...nuts to that, I wanted to see all my friends from up there so I sought out their faces in the crowd and gave them a smile. It was such fun being on the platform! I can see why some guys love it so much up there.

Yep, it's all about appearances. Jws r the most easily offended people in the world and as one you have to carefully measure everything you do, say, watch, read, wear and everywhere you go so as not to 'stumble' someone.

Catholic League outraged that imam costumes dont come with erections
by Sol Reform inread more: http://dailycaller.com/2013/10/23/catholic-league-outraged-that-imam-costumes-dont-come-with-erections/#ixzz2ibhzqqm3.
the catholic league is upset over a halloween costume featuring a sexually aroused priest and issued a statement asking why the store spirit halloween doesnt sell similar costumes for imams and rabbis.. spirit halloween sells the costume, known as happy priest, alongside a thank you father costume that shows a pregnant nun.
the leagues bill donohue called both the costumes offensive.. anyone who wants to buy a costume with a rabbi or imam sporting an erection is out of luck there are none available, donohue said in a statement.

Could be a posed photo. Generally one didn't hold hands with the spouse while witnessing.

Are JW's scared of visiting apostate websites?
by yadda yadda 2 ini believe they are.
i think it's their biggest fear besides dying at armageddon.. there's a saying that anyone who reads ray franz's books is never the same again.
i think many jw's secretly know that there is information out there that would almost certaintly seriously damage their truth in their religion, and they are terrified of it.. they would rather keep their heads firmly stuck in the sand than even take a peek at critical information that might begin a slippery slope leading to the collapse of their unique worldview.. jw doing their version of the islam prayer:.

They go nuts at you if they think you've looked at an apostate site, and are scared of them because they've been phobia indoctrinated for years that if you see anything apostate, that's it! You've sinned against the holy spirit and will instantly fall prey to Satan and out of the truth.

Gosh my big, worldy mouth got me in a lot of trouble, like when I'd say "bloody" or something. Got in trouble by a sis for once saying "what the?" Yep, not What the f*** because I didn't even know that. "What the?" Was even short for that.
Others: "wish", "I swear!" "Bugger!" "Go to hell", "all your Christmases come at once.." goodness I could go on.

Skill Up - or Lose Your job !
by fulltimestudent inthat's the message in my inbox today, from (an aussie publication) transport and logistics news.
note: i should edit this down a bit - but feeling mentally lazy.. but the message is simple - if you want to keep your job, find a way to develop your skills and make yourself more useful to your boss.. my xjw friend's son-in-law spent 6 long years doing an engineering degree part time, and was rewarded not long ago when two large mining companies competed for his services.. and, interestingly, i was talking last week to a singaporean businessman, who sells equipment that he buys from both italy and china.

File clerk is technological job- I'm assuming a file clerk is what I'd call a records manager or one might call an archivist? I've assisted an archivist before in my old job and you have to know the computer programs and this guy even had s diploma in records management.

Favoritism in the Organization
by William Penwell innot sure if this topic has been covered before but i have a question to all of you, did you run across much favouritism while being a jdub?
i know as a working person favouritism is standard practice.
growing up as a jdub and being a naive teenager i always thought that they were above "worldly" people but i learned the hard way and from my own brother in law.

It's in every human institution no matter how hard you try not to, for instance I make a conscious effort not to have favourites in my classrooms but it's inevitable as u connect better with some than with others. Some rub u the wrong way or u clash no matter how hard u try to be even. Ite humans. So jws pretending it don't happening their org are deluded or deluding themselves.
